Woman Suffers Miscarriage After Lebanese Boss Kicks Her In The Belly

 

A 34-year-old woman, Mrs. Alexandra Ossai, has accused her Lebanese boss, Kaveh Noine, of causing her to lose her seven-month-pregnancy after he kicked her in the stomach.
Currently at a private hospital in the Fagba area of Lagos State, Ossai had to have an emergency surgery four days after the kick to save her life as the kick damaged her placenta.

According to Punch, Ossai, who until December 13, 2013, was a supervisor with a Lebanese owned firm, Toppan Printing Company, alleged that Noine assaulted her many times during her eight months stay at the company.
She said:

“I started working at Toppan in April. I earn N17,000 salary and work from Monday to Saturday. Anytime Noine was annoyed, he would beat the person he was angry with. Sometimes, he would throw whatever he can lay his hands on at the person. Prior to that incident, Noine had slapped me many times.Noine had said he would hold me responsible for the shortcomings of the people I supervised. As a result, I often assisted my subordinates in their duties to make sure that Noine had nothing to complain about.”

Police Arrests Woman Who Slits Hubby Manhood Over Food Allowance

A banker has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly slitting her husband’s manhood because he refused to give her money.

According to Thenationonline, the incident which occurred about 2am last Monday at their 99, Falolu Street, Surulere, Lagos home. started after the victim, Olamilekan Idowu Daniji's wife of three years, Nofisat, woke him up from sleep, threatening that between them, one person must die.
He said:

“At first, I thought armed robbers broke into our home because she hit me hard, waking me forcefully. She tore my under-pant and held my private part. Everything was like a movie. And before I could say anything, she cut my private part. When I saw blood I shouted and she said: ‘That is where you will die.’ She abandoned me and fled.

34 years old Olamilekan said he recalled that two days earlier, his wife, who works in a bank, quarrelled with him over his inability to provide food allowance.

But Imam Daayiee Abdullah – believed to be the only openly gay imam in America– is proud of his story.
According to Aljazeera, Imam Abdullah was born a Christian, born and raised in Detroit, where his parents were Southern Baptists.

But at age 15, he told his parents he was gay. At 33, while studying in China, Abdullah converted to Islam, and went on to study the religion in Egypt, Jordan and Syria. But as a gay man in America, he saw that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Muslims had unmet spiritual needs, so he decided to become an imam to attend to their needs.

“Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention. And because of the necessity in our community, that's why I came into this particular role,” he told America Tonight about his journey.

His first act as an imam was performing funeral rites, Muslim body cleaning ritual for a gay Muslim who died of AIDS.
Pained Abdullah said:

“They had contacted a number of imams, and no one would go and provide him his janazah services. This pained me. I believe every person, no matter if I disagree with you or not, you have the right as a Muslim to have the proper spiritual [rites] and rituals provided for you. And whoever judges you, that will be Allah's decision, not me.
"The beautiful thing about God is that when you change your attitude, and say, 'God, I need some help,' and mean it sincerely, God is always there for you,”

Abdullah serves as the imam and educational director of the Light of Reform Mosque in Washington, D.C.
A mosque he helped form more than two years ago, to be a safe space for values and practices that other mosques may eschew.

In his mosque, women and men kneel side-by-side and women are allowed to lead prayers – actions that have sparked controversy even among American Muslims.

Woman Hides Stolen Chain In Private Part for 3days Get Arrested

Police detectives attached to the anti-robbery squad of the Lagos State Police Command, have arrested a woman for allegedly stealing a gold chain worth N650,000, and hiding it in her private part.

The woman, identified as Tessy Emovon, 26, allegedly stole the chain from her boyfriend, Cosmas Odijie, 26, last Sunday in a hotel located in Ikeja, after giving him a sleeping drug.
Odijie had earlier on given Tessy N3,000, to spend the night with her.

According to the police, when Odijie complained of being tired, Tessy gave him a drug called Rohypnol.
She assured him that the drug will boost his energy and sex drive, but instead,  Odijie encountered one of the less desirable effects of the drug: weakness, headache  difficulty breathing, nausea, unconsciousness, confusion, difficulty seeing clearly.

Odijie told the police in his statement that after taking the drug, he slept off and woke up around 3.30a.m. on Monday to discover that his gold chain was missing.

“After regaining consciousness, I discovered that my gold chain was missing and when I challenged Tessy, she denied stealing the chain. This led to argument and I had to inform the manager of the hotel,” he told the police.

The manager reported the incident to the police at Area ‘F’ police division, Ikeja, and Tessy was arrested and detained for two days.
She was arrested again by SARS officers as she was released from detention on the third day following a report by Martins Odijie, 33, elder brother to Cosmas, who told detectives that he actually owned the stolen gold chain.

The SARS officers took her to their office at the headquarters of the Lagos Police Command for further interrogation.

During interrogation, she confessed to the crime, adding that she had wrapped the chain in a tissue paper which she inserted in her private part.
And that the chain was still in her private part.

Some female police officers from SARS had to take her to the hotel where she removed the chain from her private part.
A police source confirmed to PMNews that she would be charged to court soon for stealing.

CCTV footage has emerged of Fabienne Kabou, 36, from Senegal, pushing little Adelaide to the coast of Berck sur Mer on November 19. The next day, Adelaide was found dead, strapped in a pushchair submerged in the water, by a fisherman.

After ten days of searching nationwide, police used DNA from the pram to trace Ms Kabou to the home she shares with a 63-year-old man in Paris, where she was arrested.

An alarm clock that sets out to actually alarm its owner first thing in the morning is set to go into production. ALARMclock has a retro-style LED animation which can be programmed to start the day with information that shocks its user into awareness.

The makers say it can deliver "motivating data about your financial status, the size of your social networks, and your projected life expectancy". So instead of seeing the time on the clock's display, users could see their current bank balance or the number of Facebook friends they have.

All that is needed is a WiFi connection to customise features from a computer, phone or tablet. The clock's designers applied for backing for their idea on kickstarter.com, the crowdfunding website that appeals to individual backers to buy a stake in the idea. Their pitch funding suggests to backers they can "reconnect with powerful motivating forces such as financial instability, social insecurity and fear of death".

The clock is, its designers say: "A daily reminder that life is hard, deal with it."

In their case, it might just have got easier. With 18 days to go until the funding period ends, they have already raised more than double the $7,000 (£4,300) amount they set out to achieve.

81-year-old retired matron, Mrs. Florence Fashola, has done something many senior citizens will dare not do. In preparation for her death, she has dug her grave and sewn a shroud. In this interview, she gives her reasons for doing so.

Do you think many people are dying young these days than in the old days?

Yes, of course. The problem is that young people are no longer doing what we did in those days. They no longer live the way we lived and eat the way we ate. For example, our parents never ate pepper milled with machines. They never put seasonings in their soup. They ate fresh fruits and fresh meat and fish. My mother never did before she died. She would not eat any soup if the ingredients were not milled on a stone. People eat too many packaged things nowadays. The luxury in which people live nowadays contributes to early death. But that does not mean I am not prepared for death. I have been ready since I clocked 70.

But many old people are afraid of death. Why are you not?

When I was 70 years old, I had a meeting with my children and told them I was expecting death anytime from then because even the Bible says nobody knows the time or day death will come. I have been blessed by God; I have children who have children of their own. I am not afraid of where I am going. So, why would I be afraid of death? To show I was really prepared, I held a meeting with my children and told them of my decision to find a tailor to sew me a shroud I would be interred in and dug my own grave in my yard. When the shroud was sewn, I put it on and took photographs with it.

Kenny, Kelsey, Natalie, Brandon, Alexis, Nathan and Joel, the world's first septuplets to survive infancy, are marking the milestone on Tuesday, November 19 at their home in Carlisle, Iowa.

'It's sad how quickly it's gone,' their mother Bobbi told a local newspaper of the past 16 years.

Bobbi and her husband Kenny famously declined selective reduction after learning they were pregnant with seven children following fertility treatment, saying it was 'in God's hands'.

A 15 year boy, Asuquo Edet from  Akwa Ibom State - was mid last week tortured for more than four hours before finally axed on the head to a state of coma by assailants numbering about ten over allegation of using witchcraft power to kill his father. Narrating his ordeal in the hands from those he called ‘local cultists’ to newsmen, Asuquo, who hails from Ikon- Edikor, Udung Uko Local Government Area, said he was reconciled with his parents few months ago by an Eket based non-profit organization, the Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) that runs a centre for witch stigmatized children, having lived there for over a year.

The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old vulcaniser, Ademola Simiyu, of Ile Olode in Ikoyi for allegedly defiling his 11-year-old daughter. Simiyu, a father of three, allegedly committed the act on Wednesday, October 23, when he woke up the girl at about 12 midnight while she was sleeping with her siblings and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

Teenager In India Commits Suicide After Parents Ban Her From Using Facebook

A 17-year-old Indian girl killed herself on Wednesday after her parents told her she needed to stop wasting her time on Facebook and her mobile phone and focus more on her studies. Newsweek Pakistan reported Friday that the girl, Aishwarya Dahiwal of Maharashtra state’s Parbhani city, was found hanging in her bedroom after arguing with her parents on Wednesday. She left a suicide note which references Facebook and the argument with her parents which police are currently examining.

“On Wednesday night, she had an argument with her parents who told her not to just use Facebook and her mobile all day for chatting,” an officer from Nanal Peth police station who asked to remain unidentified told Newsweek Pakistan. “They told her to focus on her studies. After the argument, she locked herself in her room and was found hanging later, with a suicide note nearby,” he said.

Woman Witness Man Buried Alive Rising From Grave

It's not every day you see someone climbing out of a grave. But for one woman in Brazil, who was visiting her family tomb, that's exactly what she was in for.

According to local reports, the woman, who has not been identified, was at a cemetery in Sao Paulo's Ferraz de Vasconcelos when she heard some odd noises and saw some dirt moving near a grave. That's when she spotted a man, buried alive, trying to pull himself from the ground.

"I was terrified to see a man who I thought was dead, trying to get out of the grave," the woman recalled later, according to local reports.

The woman notified authorities, and emergency services arrived to dig out the rest of the man's body; he had already managed to free his head and arms from the ground. In a video broadcast on local station Record TV, the rescue team is seen pulling the partially buried man from the grave.
It's not immediately clear how the man, who reportedly worked as a city hall employee, came to be buried alive, but it is believed he got into a fight in another part of the city and was badly beaten up in the altercation, the Daily Mail reported.

After he was rescued from the grave, he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Though city officials confirmed the case, they did not disclose the condition of the man, Noticias R7 reports.

A naked Russian artist nailed his own testicles to the ground in a bizarre protest against his country's authoritarian regime. Self-styled performance artist Pyotr Pavelnsky hammered a large metal nail through his scrotum and into the cobblestones in front of Moscow's Red Square as hundreds of horrified tourists watched on.

Police eventually covered him up with a blanket before removing him from the scene. He was taken to a clinic for treatment and placed under arrest.

Igbinedion Kills 3-Yr-Old Nephew for Bed wetting

Ben Igbinedion, 43, has been found guilty of killing his 3 year old nephew, Daniel Evbuowman after they shared bed.

Ben, of Bromley, southeast London, reportedly assaulted the little child in the early hours of March 2, 2013, after discovering Daniel wet the bed he and his uncle were sharing. After the assault Igbinedion put the child in a different bed, but when other family members tried to wake Daniel in the morning, they found him unresponsive. Daniel was taken to a hospital where he died.

During his trial, the court heard that Daniel was put in the care of Igbinedion, who was also left in charge of his three children while his wife was at work. He told Daniel and his youngest son that they should sleep in his room, while his other two children sleep in their own room. One of Igbinedion’s children was woken by him telling off Daniel for wetting the bed, the jury was told.

On the 30th of October 2013, 37-year-old Obado Uzoma Simeon was found murdered in Parra village, North Goa, India. According to reports, before Uzoma's death, around 20 men with their faces covered, had attacked some Nigerians outside a restaurant in Parra village.  Uzoma escaped the first attack, but he and another Nigerian, Obinna Paul Obi were again targeted later, and this time, Uzoma was hacked to death.

Bitterly angered by Uzoma's death, hundreds of Nigerians staged a protest against the killing. They gathered at Porvorim Highway with Uzoma's dead body and blocked the traffic. Then they allegedly started assaulting policemen, local people and also vandalized few shops. This made the local Indians very angry that they too became very violent, started beating up Nigerians, then brutally assaulted the Nigerian in the video above, beat him up till he bled all in the presence of policemen.

Chinese Man Wins In Court For Suing Wife Over Ugly Children

A Chinese wife has been sued by her husband for giving birth to what he calls an 'incredibly ugly' child.

Jian Feng from northern China filed a suit against his wife and was awarded $120,000 (£75,000) in a court settlement. He argued that his wife tricked him into the marriage by undergoing plastic surgery to make her beautiful. He said he realized this only when she gave birth to their daughter.

"I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues. Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me," Jian said.

The truth of the matter surfaced only when Jian went on to accuse his wife of cheating, as the child looked like neither of its parents. At that point, the wife admitted to having undergone cosmetic surgery worth £62,000 which had modified her appearance considerably. Jian was not aware of the surgery before their marriage, his wife conceded.

75-Yr-Old Man Commits Suicide After 2 of his Buses Were Seized

Residents of Oke-Ayepe, Onward Estate in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State were, yesterday, thrown into mourning when a 75-year-old grandfather, Pa Adisa Hassan, allegedly committed suicide in the storeroom of his house. The deceased popularly known as Baba Tawa, who operated three buses for his inter-city transport business was said to have hanged himself  around 5.00a.m. after officers of the Vehicle Inspection Officials (VIO) seized two of his three buses.

Eye-witness accounts revealed that Pa Hassan woke up alongside his family members around 5.00a.m. to observe their usual morning prayer (Subri) but changed his mind on his way to the mosque situated opposite his house and went into his store room and took his life.

When journalists visited the scene of the incident,  yesterday, family members and residents of the area were seen wailing even as some of his associates were discussing the mystery surrounding the tragedy.

Also, a team of officers from the Disaster and Emergency Management Unit of the Nigerian Security and

Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was drafted to the scene to maintain order. At press time, Hassan’s corpse was still dangling from the noose as no one was allowed to enter into the room

Employee Gets Suspended For Refusing To Give An Armed Robber Money

DailyMail is reporting that a petrol station employee got suspended after she refused to hand over cash to an armed robber.

 According to the story, the lady, Betty Green was working at the Speedway gas station in Lexington, Kentucky, when a man came in and demanded cash. 

The man had bought some beer, then handed her a note. 

'I started reading it,' Betty said, 'and it said "I don't want anyone to get hurt, take your money in the drawer, put it in a bag and give it to me."' 

He then lifted up his shirt to show a gun but Betty staunchly refused to hand over any money. 'I looked at him and I said "no," and he grinned at me, and picked up his purchases and left,' she said. 
The shocked clerk called 911 but got suspended by her bosses for not following company rules of handing over the cash then pressing the panic button. 

Betty hopes to get justice. 
She said: 'Right and wrong are important, and what he did was wrong. My outcome was right. No one was hurt and I was able to diffuse the situation from getting worse.'

Phone saves Man's Life From Robber's Bullet

A petrol station clerk in Florida has been saved from a robber's bullet by his cell phone.The clerk had just minor injuries after a robber fired a bullet at his abdomen, Winter Garden Police said.

The man did not realise the bullet had been stopped by the phone until he pulled the device out of his shirt pocket.

The attempted robbery took place on in Winter Garden, a suburb of Orlando. A man entered the Hess gas station and asked a clerk for help. He then showed the worker a revolver and demanded that he open the safe. When the clerk could not open the safe, the robber ordered a second clerk to try. He was also unsuccessful.

The gunman fired a round at one of the clerks and fled.
