The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old vulcaniser, Ademola Simiyu, of Ile Olode in Ikoyi for allegedly defiling his 11-year-old daughter. Simiyu, a father of three, allegedly committed the act on Wednesday, October 23, when he woke up the girl at about 12 midnight while she was sleeping with her siblings and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

The suspect was said to have stifled the cries of his daughter by covering her mouth with his palm. The girl reportedly started bleeding heavily but the father refused to take her to the hospital, out of fear of questions that could be raised concerning the bleeding

Teenager In India Commits Suicide After Parents Ban Her From Using Facebook

A 17-year-old Indian girl killed herself on Wednesday after her parents told her she needed to stop wasting her time on Facebook and her mobile phone and focus more on her studies. Newsweek Pakistan reported Friday that the girl, Aishwarya Dahiwal of Maharashtra state’s Parbhani city, was found hanging in her bedroom after arguing with her parents on Wednesday. She left a suicide note which references Facebook and the argument with her parents which police are currently examining.

“On Wednesday night, she had an argument with her parents who told her not to just use Facebook and her mobile all day for chatting,” an officer from Nanal Peth police station who asked to remain unidentified told Newsweek Pakistan. “They told her to focus on her studies. After the argument, she locked herself in her room and was found hanging later, with a suicide note nearby,” he said.

Woman Witness Man Buried Alive Rising From Grave

It's not every day you see someone climbing out of a grave. But for one woman in Brazil, who was visiting her family tomb, that's exactly what she was in for.

According to local reports, the woman, who has not been identified, was at a cemetery in Sao Paulo's Ferraz de Vasconcelos when she heard some odd noises and saw some dirt moving near a grave. That's when she spotted a man, buried alive, trying to pull himself from the ground.

"I was terrified to see a man who I thought was dead, trying to get out of the grave," the woman recalled later, according to local reports.

The woman notified authorities, and emergency services arrived to dig out the rest of the man's body; he had already managed to free his head and arms from the ground. In a video broadcast on local station Record TV, the rescue team is seen pulling the partially buried man from the grave.
It's not immediately clear how the man, who reportedly worked as a city hall employee, came to be buried alive, but it is believed he got into a fight in another part of the city and was badly beaten up in the altercation, the Daily Mail reported.

After he was rescued from the grave, he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Though city officials confirmed the case, they did not disclose the condition of the man, Noticias R7 reports.

A naked Russian artist nailed his own testicles to the ground in a bizarre protest against his country's authoritarian regime. Self-styled performance artist Pyotr Pavelnsky hammered a large metal nail through his scrotum and into the cobblestones in front of Moscow's Red Square as hundreds of horrified tourists watched on.

Police eventually covered him up with a blanket before removing him from the scene. He was taken to a clinic for treatment and placed under arrest.

Pavelnsky has previously performed painful protests to highlight political causes. In 2011 he sewed his lips together to highlight the plight of the jailed Pussy Riot group and he later wrapped his naked body in barbed wire outside a government building in St Petersburg.

Igbinedion Kills 3-Yr-Old Nephew for Bed wetting

Ben Igbinedion, 43, has been found guilty of killing his 3 year old nephew, Daniel Evbuowman after they shared bed.

Ben, of Bromley, southeast London, reportedly assaulted the little child in the early hours of March 2, 2013, after discovering Daniel wet the bed he and his uncle were sharing. After the assault Igbinedion put the child in a different bed, but when other family members tried to wake Daniel in the morning, they found him unresponsive. Daniel was taken to a hospital where he died.

During his trial, the court heard that Daniel was put in the care of Igbinedion, who was also left in charge of his three children while his wife was at work. He told Daniel and his youngest son that they should sleep in his room, while his other two children sleep in their own room. One of Igbinedion’s children was woken by him telling off Daniel for wetting the bed, the jury was told.

On the 30th of October 2013, 37-year-old Obado Uzoma Simeon was found murdered in Parra village, North Goa, India. According to reports, before Uzoma's death, around 20 men with their faces covered, had attacked some Nigerians outside a restaurant in Parra village.  Uzoma escaped the first attack, but he and another Nigerian, Obinna Paul Obi were again targeted later, and this time, Uzoma was hacked to death.

Bitterly angered by Uzoma's death, hundreds of Nigerians staged a protest against the killing. They gathered at Porvorim Highway with Uzoma's dead body and blocked the traffic. Then they allegedly started assaulting policemen, local people and also vandalized few shops. This made the local Indians very angry that they too became very violent, started beating up Nigerians, then brutally assaulted the Nigerian in the video above, beat him up till he bled all in the presence of policemen.

Chinese Man Wins In Court For Suing Wife Over Ugly Children

A Chinese wife has been sued by her husband for giving birth to what he calls an 'incredibly ugly' child.

Jian Feng from northern China filed a suit against his wife and was awarded $120,000 (£75,000) in a court settlement. He argued that his wife tricked him into the marriage by undergoing plastic surgery to make her beautiful. He said he realized this only when she gave birth to their daughter.

"I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues. Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me," Jian said.

The truth of the matter surfaced only when Jian went on to accuse his wife of cheating, as the child looked like neither of its parents. At that point, the wife admitted to having undergone cosmetic surgery worth £62,000 which had modified her appearance considerably. Jian was not aware of the surgery before their marriage, his wife conceded.

75-Yr-Old Man Commits Suicide After 2 of his Buses Were Seized

Residents of Oke-Ayepe, Onward Estate in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State were, yesterday, thrown into mourning when a 75-year-old grandfather, Pa Adisa Hassan, allegedly committed suicide in the storeroom of his house. The deceased popularly known as Baba Tawa, who operated three buses for his inter-city transport business was said to have hanged himself  around 5.00a.m. after officers of the Vehicle Inspection Officials (VIO) seized two of his three buses.

Eye-witness accounts revealed that Pa Hassan woke up alongside his family members around 5.00a.m. to observe their usual morning prayer (Subri) but changed his mind on his way to the mosque situated opposite his house and went into his store room and took his life.

When journalists visited the scene of the incident,  yesterday, family members and residents of the area were seen wailing even as some of his associates were discussing the mystery surrounding the tragedy.

Also, a team of officers from the Disaster and Emergency Management Unit of the Nigerian Security and

Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was drafted to the scene to maintain order. At press time, Hassan’s corpse was still dangling from the noose as no one was allowed to enter into the room

Employee Gets Suspended For Refusing To Give An Armed Robber Money

DailyMail is reporting that a petrol station employee got suspended after she refused to hand over cash to an armed robber.

 According to the story, the lady, Betty Green was working at the Speedway gas station in Lexington, Kentucky, when a man came in and demanded cash. 

The man had bought some beer, then handed her a note. 

'I started reading it,' Betty said, 'and it said "I don't want anyone to get hurt, take your money in the drawer, put it in a bag and give it to me."' 

He then lifted up his shirt to show a gun but Betty staunchly refused to hand over any money. 'I looked at him and I said "no," and he grinned at me, and picked up his purchases and left,' she said. 
The shocked clerk called 911 but got suspended by her bosses for not following company rules of handing over the cash then pressing the panic button. 

Betty hopes to get justice. 
She said: 'Right and wrong are important, and what he did was wrong. My outcome was right. No one was hurt and I was able to diffuse the situation from getting worse.'

Phone saves Man's Life From Robber's Bullet

A petrol station clerk in Florida has been saved from a robber's bullet by his cell phone.The clerk had just minor injuries after a robber fired a bullet at his abdomen, Winter Garden Police said.

The man did not realise the bullet had been stopped by the phone until he pulled the device out of his shirt pocket.

The attempted robbery took place on in Winter Garden, a suburb of Orlando. A man entered the Hess gas station and asked a clerk for help. He then showed the worker a revolver and demanded that he open the safe. When the clerk could not open the safe, the robber ordered a second clerk to try. He was also unsuccessful.

The gunman fired a round at one of the clerks and fled.
