After 60 years of Pregnancy, Woman Finally Gives Birth to Stone

Huang Yijun, aged 92, a native of southern china finally gave birth after 60 years of carrying a baby. However, this baby wasn't born alive as it turned out she had been carrying a "lithopedion", in layman's language, a stone baby. 

A medical expert explained that the condition is quiet rare and occurs when a pregnancy fails and the foetus solidifies in the womb.

This is a rare case that affects some women.

Successful Surgery of Boy born with 16 toes and 15 fingers

A six year old boy in China is said to have been born with 15 fingers and 16 toes. Li as he is fondly called has suffered from bullying and ridicule by his peers due to his extra fingers and toes and was even called a monster. As such has not lived a normal life, his mother said.

According to expert the abnormality is caused by a genetic mutation. It is usually called polydactylism (from Ancient Greek, polus "many"), also known as hyperdactyly, is a congenital physical anomaly in humans having supernumerary fingers or toes. This condition can occur on its own without any other symptoms or underlying disease, according to the National Institutes of Health, or may be inherited.

Meet the World Shortest Woman-Jyoti Amge

When you see the picture above, the first thing that comes to mind is that she is a little girl. This is far from the truth. The image above is the picture of the world shortest woman in the world. Jyoti Amge 18+ is 24.7 inches (62.8 centimetres) tall, making her 2.76 inches (seven centimetres) 

Jyoti has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia that has limited her growth, and isn’t expected to grow any further — she makes it clear big dreams can come with a small size. She says:

“I feel grateful to be this size; after all, if I weren't small and had not achieved these world records, I might never have been able to visit Japan and Europe, and many other wonderful countries.”

Yaritza Olivia, a 20 year old in Chile has developed a health condition which makes her bleeds from her eyes several times a day. When she visited the doctor, no infection was found so she was sent home with eye drops. This condition has left the doctors mystified.

Miss Olivia said that the pain she feels is ‘indescribable and needs funds as her parents cannot afford to send her to an appropriate medical expert.

I have heard of sleep walking, sleep talking and now sleep shooting? Incredible!!!!!

A man who was believed to have accidentally shot himself in the knee while sleeping placed an emergency call to the police in concord, American state of New hampshire for help. He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injury.

Such behaviour is known as pararsomnia, a category of sleep disorder which also includes somnambulism (sleepwalking), teeth grinding and sleep sex.

For screaming during labour while giving birth, a hospital in Zimbabwe, charged the women $5. Zimbabwe is one of the corrupt countries in the world where nearly 95% of the population is unemployed, yet they charge their women $5 for screaming during childbearing.

The shocking discovery was made by a U.S. group that campaigns against corruption, as it released its annual Global Corruption Barometer.

At the hospital in Zimbabwe, one of the poorest countries in the world, the fine was said to be for 'raising a false alarm', according to Transparency International. Women who were unable to pay the fine were allegedly kept in the hospital until their families could pay. 

Many mothers already avoid hospital deliveries in the African nation because of the $50 cost, which is about the third of the average $150 income.

Black Teenage girl breaks record to become Youngest Person to be called To Bar

American student Gabrielle Turnquest was called to the Bar of England and Wales after passing her exams at just 18. She became the youngest person to qualify as a barrister in the 600 year history of the profession

The average lawyer undertakes the Bar Professional Training Course when they are 27. However, the young high-flyer will not go on to work in the UK as she wants to return to her native America to qualify as a lawyer there. But her success means she is also called to the Bahamas Bar, the country of her parents, and she hopes to work there.

Gabrielle took the course, at the University of Law, along with her sister Kandi, who also passed her exams but at the ripe old age of 22. The teenager, who is originally from Windermere, Florida, hopes eventually to be a fashion law specialist.

She said: “I am honoured to be the youngest person to pass the Bar exams but, really, I was not aware at the time what the average age was. “I didn’t fully realise the impact of it.”

Gabrielle has already made history at her previous university, Liberty University in Virginia, where she was the youngest person to finish an undergraduate degree there, in psychology, at the age of 16.

If the youngster wanted to work as a barrister in the UK she would still have to carry out a pupillage at a chambers for at least a year and then be granted a tenancy.

Traditionally, a trainee lawyer had to be 21 to be eligible for the call to The Bar but that was scrapped in 2009 with the introduction of the Bar Training Regulations. Nigel Savage, President and Provost at The University of Law, said: "The growing globalisation of law firms and the need for more international expertise means that it is becoming increasingly more important for young legal professionals to have experience across different legal markets if they are going to maximise the number of job opportunities that are available to them.”

No Exagerration: Video footage of China's heatwave that cooks pork placed on pavement

China is experiencing an intense heat wave, its highest temperature for at least 140 years. The temperature has left more than 10 people dead.

Temperatures surpassed 38 Celsius in almost all areas of Shanghai on Wednesday, peaking at 39.8 C in the central Xujiahui district in the afternoon, according to local weather statistics. Unfortunately, this is just the least as they predict it would reach 41 degrees Celsius.

Footage of a slice of pork cooked through in 10 minutes on outdoor stone slab, taken by a Shanghai TV station, has gone viral online.

The TV reporter can be heard saying that when the pork is placed on the stone slab, after 30 seconds, one side is white and after 10 minutes, the pork is 80 per cent cooked.
