UNBELIEVABLE: How Eating Disorder Disfigured Journalist/Model

 The unusal transformation of one of Greece most beautiful TV presenter, formerly Model, Nana Karagiann has raised a cause for alarm not only with the Greek media but in other parts of Europe.  The unusual disfiguration is due to a certain illness known as anorexia nervosa.

In case you dont know,

Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by immoderate food restriction and irrational fear of gaining weight, as well as a distorted body self perception. It typically involves excessive weight loss and is usually found more in females than in males. Because of the fear of gaining weight, people with this disorder restrict the amount of food they consume. It is an eating disorder and mental health condition that can be life threatening.

Her issue became a cause of concern to the extent that reporters and journalists of the newspaper Milliyet made a special tribute with an extensive story on Nana and her eating disorder. the article reads: 

"One of the most beautiful Greek journalist, Nana Karagianni shocks everyone with her terrible illness. In the past she used to work as a model and later on television. Until the moment she was hit by the models'disease, anorexia. The beautiful and successful journalist has lost so much weight over time that she has now become unrecognizable"
